  • I was invited by MCI Academy (the learning arm of Iran’s largest mobile network operator) as a mentor and guest instructor in their multi-session product course. In this interactive workshop, I guided aspiring product managers through the dynamic landscape of B2C Marketplaces, sharing practical insights and firsthand experiences from real-world projects at Snapp Doctor.
  • Key highlights included our transition from a manual expert ranking system (updated weekly) to a dynamic sorting algorithm refreshed multiple times daily based on factors like doctor response time and ratings. Although initial qualitative feedback from some dissatisfied experts created uncertainty, deeper analysis of quantitative data revealed a broader success story, boosting conversion rates down the road.
  • I further illustrated the importance of distinguishing loud complaints from objective results through Snapp CAB’s surge pricing scenario. Despite continuous complaints from both drivers and riders about increased pricing during peak times, user engagement remained high, demonstrating a clear gap between expressed dissatisfaction and actual user behavior. This highlighted the critical need to validate qualitative feedback with quantitative user behavior data.
  • Workshop Keynote:
  • - Balancing qualitative feedback with objective metrics.
  • - Recognizing biases such as Small Sample Bias, Expert Intuition Bias, and Confirmation Bias.
  • - Validating decisions through comprehensive data analysis.
  • - Aligning product strategies with actual user behaviors, not just voiced feedback.
